Ob-Gyn Workload And Potential Shortages [infographic]
There is going to be an acute shortage of ob-gyn practitioners in the forthcoming years, according to a survey by Doximity. Shockingly, in most areas, a large number of ob-gyns are nearing retirement age. This could exacerbate an already tough situation. Around 37% of ob/gyns are 55 years or older. It is critical that this issue is addressed and alternatives explored as the health outcomes of thousands of women are dependent on it.
Conclusion:
The shortage of ob-gyn practitioners poses a real challenge because as the survey predicts the situation could only become more acute in the coming years. What do you think can be done to address this issue?
